It’s time for you to know a little more about me and what better way to do that than to host The Christmas Tag.

What’s your favourite Christmas movie?
Love Actually. I really enjoy Christmas movies and I have a specific order they have to be watched in; Christmas with the Kranks is usually first followed by Home Alone, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, The Holiday and finally Love Actually on Christmas Eve.
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
No. I live in Australia and grew up in New Zealand where it’s summer at Christmas time. I’ve not been lucky enough to have a white Christmas but I have a dream that one day I could have a white Christmas some place beautiful or a city Christmas in New York City.
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Depending on what is happening that year I’ll spend time in Sydney with my family coming to visit or I’ll go back to New Zealand for Christmas which is what I’m doing this year.
What is your favourite Christmas song?
I’m really loving some ‘Last Christmas’ this year, I’ve been listening to the Glee Cast version on repeat during my commute. My all time favourite is ‘All I want for Christmas is you’.
Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Not usually but this year we will be opening some on Christmas Eve as there are a couple of things we won’t be able to take to New Zealand with us.
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Not at all! I know Rudolph who is of course, the best reindeer. Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen … that’s it for me.
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to this year?
The Christmas Day Lunch. I’ve not been able to go home to New Zealand for a number of years so this year I’m really looking forward to lunch with our family.
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Totally fake. I’m not even sure you could call it a Christmas Tree; it’s more of a cone shaped symbolic Christmas tree that’s covered in twinkle lights. I used to love going to the Christmas Tree farm and choosing a real tree to take home. The whole house would be filled with the smell of pine.
I always found it a little weird that we would bring a tree inside the house for the holidays. Like an actual tree.
What is your favourite holiday treat/food/sweet?
My mum makes this amazing pudding with cream and jelly. Unfortunately this year I probably won’t have any (I’m transitioning to a plant based diet).
Be honest, do you like giving or receiving gifts better?
I like giving but I find it particularly difficult. I want to find the absolute perfect gift for people that’s both thoughtful and practical. Unfortunately those two things are actually quite difficult to balance.
What is the best Christmas present you ever received?
Honestly, I don’t think the best thing I’ve received at Christmas was a gift. It’s more time – time with family and friends creating moments and memories that last forever.
What is your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
New York City. Everything about NYC at Christmas time looks incredible! From the ice skating, to the decorations, places to go shopping and festivities.
Are you a pro present wrapper or do you fail miserably?
I’m a perfectionist and highly competitive when it comes to wrapping gifts. You’ll know that gift came from me, I’ll make sure of it!
Most memorable Christmas memory?
Would have to be time with my family members as I was growing up. We would have great Christmas Day get togethers.
What made you realise the truth about Santa?
What’s the truth about Santa?
What makes the holidays special for you?
My job can be quite stressful around the Holidays so Christmas Day is really the first opportunity I get to relax. Relaxing time with family and friends truly makes it special.
I know this is the part where I’m meant to tag other bloggers. However, I know how crazy busy it is this time of year so I’m not going to tag anyone and pressure them to do even more work on their blog. I’m simply wishing you a Merry Christmas! Let me know your answers to some of the questions above in the comments!
